SMC Staffing General Operational Guidelines a) Recruitment of staff shall be on voluntary basis, starting from filling staff recruitment form. b) All members of staff are expected to observe agreed minimum number of hours in office per work day. c) Duties / posts are assigned to members of staff by the Central Coordinator d) Satisfactory progress report of probation service (minimum of 6 months and could be extended in case of unsatisfactory report) is a precondition for Pioneering Missionary staff. e) Weekends could be inclusive in workdays in special cases e.g. outreaches, mobilization, training or SMC related programmes. f) Staff members are entitled to one month leave period (or two weeks for 6 months of service). g) Monthly reports of activities is compulsory and to be submitted to the Desk of the Central Coordinator. h) Absence from duties (not more than a week) should be formally applied for stating reason, duration and location. i) Withdrawal / self termination of service should be in written form with at least a month notice to the office of the Central Coordinator. j) Appointment shall be renewed yearly (depending on satisfactory recommendation) by application. k) SMC would be willing to support members of staff in some basic needs, as conditions demand it. Types of Staffa) Volunteer staff / Probation (with stipend) b) Special volunteer (without stipend) c) Pioneering missionary (enlisted on Support Scheme) Qualifications1. Applicants must have been active members of Student Mission Club with evidence of membership. 2. Minimum academic requirement for staff is OND (or ND). 3. Applicants must be in good academic. 4. Type of staff C must have been a volunteer staff with SMC for at least 9 months and at least 6 months of satisfactory probation service with SMC. Additional Qualification for Pioneer Missionaries· Experienced in pioneering at least 2 campus Chapters of SMC and organize support partnership for at least 2 missionaries · Experienced in OMS organizing and training Terms of Reference for Offices / Posts: SMC Central OfficeAdministration a) Documentation of reports, bills etc. b) Act for the Central / Zonal Coordinators in their absence c) Serve the notice of special meetings within the movement d) Keep records of contact addresses of members, membership registration, etc. e) Other responsibilities as delegated by the Central / Zonal Coordinator f) Monthly submission of report of activities Training a) Organize On-Campus Mission School (OMS) b) Contact and link trainers to training sites (trainees) c) Documentation of training and outreach records d) Organize and supervise Central / Zonal outreaches e) Other responsibilities as delegated by the Central / Zonal Coordinator Mission Support Scheme a) Organize follow-up of responses on support scheme; including visit to missionaries on Support Scheme. b) Seek missionaries to be supported by the Support Scheme c) Other responsibilities as delegated by the Central / Zonal Coordinator d) Raise constant support for missionaries with targets in view Pioneering Missions a) Establish new SMC chapters (among students and non-student members) b) Organize trainings (OMS, Training of Trainers (TOT) and School of Leadership) c) Mobilization of supports (financial, material and moral) for SMC’s activities and missionaries on Support Scheme d) Act as liaison officer for SMC and Coordinates SMC works (campus and non-student chapters) at duty posts e) Other responsibilities as delegated by the Central / Zonal Coordinator STUDENT MISSION CLUB Staff Recruitment Guide and Application Form (Open to SMC members only.
